Effective April 1, 2004, an addendum has been included in the State of Minnesota MFP Contract #431046. This allows for the addition of accessories to an existing rental. A formula has been created where by the accessory's original rental rate is revised according to the months left in the original rental agreement. This revision also needs to be communicated to the Dept of Administration through the contract vendor.

The formula is as follows:

(Original Rental Rate for Accessory) times (36 Months) = Total Rental Dollars Paid over 36 Months

(Total Rental Dollars Paid over 36 Months) divided by (X Months remaining in original rental agreement) = New Monthly Rental Rate for the Accessory -- then added to the original rental cost.

Example:

Print Controller is originally at $66.04/month for 36 months

$66.04/month x 36 months = $2,377.44 total dollars expended

$2,377.44/month / 30 months = $79.25/month for 30 months
